Udupi Ruchi

Udupi Ruchi is an ode to the beautiful coastal city of Udupi in Karnataka, known for its temples, serenity, and delicious food choices native to the land. Ruchi translates to taste in Kannada and Tulu languages. Udupi Ruchi is the brainchild of the visionary woman entrepreneur, Mrs. Lalitha Rao Sahib who hails from the beautiful city of Udupi. Growing up in a family that has been in the Food and Hospitality business for decades led her to venture into creating innovative concepts within the industry. Her exceptional love for food combined with her attention to precision that comes from being a mechanical engineer nudged her to start ‘Nuthatch’ (named after the European bird that has a tough beak) in the year 1999 of which brand Udupi Ruchi is a part. Sri Nuthatch, specialised in Contract Research and Manufacturing (CRAM) had varied clientele on likes of ITC Ltd., Elder Pharmaceuticals, Wal-Mart, Elken, and now with Dr.Batras to name a few.
